About this stay
Mahua Kothi is in the buffer forest beside the Irai lake, two and a half hours from Nagpur. Three air-conditioned cottages share a dining machan and a campfire circle, and the whole lodge is booked by one group.
Safaris leave at dawn and again in the afternoon; we help you book gypsies and permits for the Mohurli and Junona zones. Between drives there is the lake for birding, a naturalist's walk in the buffer and Varhadi food — zunka bhakar, saoji chicken on request.
The core zone is closed on Tuesdays and during the monsoon, from July to September; buffer safaris continue.
