About this stay
Kayal is a traditional rice-barge houseboat, rebuilt with two en-suite, air-conditioned cabins and an open lounge deck at the bow.
Your stay is a 22-hour cruise from Punnamada: lunch as you leave the jetty, a slow afternoon through the canals and paddy fields, tea and banana fritters at sunset, and the night moored on the lake. The captain, engineer and cook stay on board; karimeen fry and Kerala meals are included.
The boat is licensed by the Kerala tourism department and carries life jackets for every guest.
