About this stay
The haveli is in the lanes behind Assi Ghat. Your floor has two air-conditioned rooms, a sitting room with old teak furniture and a terrace that looks straight down the river.
Wake before sunrise for Subah-e-Banaras at the ghat, then come back for kachori-sabzi and chai on the terrace. The family arranges a boatman for the evening aarti at Dashashwamedh.
The old city lanes are too narrow for cars: an e-rickshaw brings you to the lane and it is a three-minute walk from there. The kitchen is vegetarian.
